Onions are found generally in three distinct colors; red, white and slightly yellow. In India, it is cultivated and grown throughout the year, but those onions grown during the time period from April to September, is only used for the extraction of oleoresin. The onion bulbs are processed by the solvent extraction process for onion oleoresins. It has its own importance in medicines and curing diseases.
